Ingredients :
- 2 lbs (907 grams) chicken breasts
- 12 pieces of bacon
- 1/4 cup (65 ml) soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 4 tablespoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 12 skewers that you soak for at least 20 minutes
- Lime wedges (optional)
Preparation :
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with a sheet of parchment paper.
- Insert the skewers into each chicken breast and wrap with a piece of bacon.
- In a pot, add soy sauce, chili powder, honey, brown sugar, garlic, lime juice, sesame oil and cornstarch. Heat over medium heat and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for a few minutes.
- Brush the chicken with the sauce.
- Cook the chicken for 30 minutes and turn halfway through. Brush again halfway through cooking.
- Caramelize in BROIL for 2 minutes.
- Garnish with green onion and serve with the sauce and lime wedges
