The easiest pressure cooker white bread recipe!

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup water or milk
  • 1 packet (8 grams) of dry yeast*
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) sugar
  • 2 1/4 to 3 1/4 cups (565 to 815 mL) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) salt

Preparation :

  1. Heat the water or milk to 35-38°C and pour it into a bowl.
  2. Add dry yeast and sugar. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Add the salt, then gradually the flour. Keep adding more until you get a ball that is not sticky to the touch. It is possible that the amount of flour is not completely used.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 2 minutes.
  5. Place the bread in the pressure cooker on “yogurt” mode for 30 minutes.
  6. When the bread has doubled in size, take it out of the pressure cooker and place it on a floured surface to knead the dough again.
  7. Place in a previously greased loaf pan and cover with aluminum foil for 20 minutes.
  8. Pour 1 cup of water into the pressure cooker, put the trivet and place the bread pan still covered.
  9. Cooked at high pressure for 45 minutes.
  10. Naturally release the pressure for 10 minutes.
  11. Broil the top of the bread for 3-5 minutes.

You can use instant yeast. In this case, step #2 of feeding and frothing the yeast is not necessary.
