Ingredients :
- 1½ cups (375 ml) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (250 ml) sugar + 1/4 cup for later
- 1 and a half teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup (65 mL) sour cream
- 1/4 cup (65 ml) buttermilk
- 400 grams strawberries, hulled and sliced
Preparation :
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C).
- Oil a 9-inch springform pan well.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Put aside.
- Cream the butter and sugar together using your mixer for 3-4 minutes until the texture is light. Scrape the sides of the bowl well with a spatula.
- Add the eggs, one at a time and beat.
- Add the vanilla and beat.
- Add sour cream and buttermilk together, then add flour gradually until well blended.
- Add the strawberries and mix.
- Pour into the cake pan. Level with a spatula. Sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool. Remove hinge and slice.
