A+ is the 2nd blood group in the world. 39% of French people are A positive and 2.3 billion people have this blood group. The characteristics of the A+ blood group are:
► Antigens: red blood cells or red blood cells have so-called type A proteins on their surface. Therefore, people of this blood group can give them to A and AB individuals because they do not have anti-A antibodies in their plasma.
► Rhesus: positive. As for the O+ group, A+ red blood cells can only be given to people with rhesus positive, so here at AB+ and A+.
► Antibodies: Blood group A, all rhesus combined, contains anti-B antibodies therefore A+ can receive red blood cells of blood group O and A regardless of rhesus. Indeed, recipients of rhesus positive can receive all rhesus which is not the case for those of rhesus negative.
