Ingredients :
- 8 slices of bacon (how to cook your bacon to perfection!)
- 3 large russet potatoes, cut into small pieces
- 1 and a half cups (375 ml) grated cheddar cheese
- Paprika
- Salt and pepper from the mill
- 3 shallots, finely chopped
Preparation :
- Bake your bacon in the oven or preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Meanwhile, cut the potatoes and grate the cheese.
- Remove bacon from foil, drain but retain bacon fat.
- Put the potatoes in the foil. Mix well to coat the potatoes with bacon fat.
- Season with paprika, salt and pepper.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
- Meanwhile, cut the bacon into small pieces.
- Take the foil out of the oven. Add the bacon bits and grated cheese.
- Return to the oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese.
- Garnish with shallots.
- Serve!
