Ingredients :
- 1 lb (0.45 kg) beef cubes
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon chili paste
- 1 teaspoon Nuoc-mâm sauce
- Skewer sticks (soaked in water)
- Green onions (optional)
Peanut Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Nuoc-mâm sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili paste
- Hot water
Preparation :
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients: lemon juice, ginger, Nuoc-mâm sauce, garlic and chili paste.
- Add the beef pieces, cover and let sit for 20 to 30 minutes or even better, overnight in the fridge.
- Prepare the peanut sauce by combining all the ingredients in a small bowl. Slowly add hot water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired texture is achieved.
- Prick the pieces of meat on the wooden sticks.
- Grill over medium high heat for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
- Serve with sauce and garnish with green onions.
