Before completing: “When we are at risk, a doctor who follows a patient at risk says to him: if you have symptoms, you get tested and I give you the prescription, and with proof that your test is positive, you can get the Paxlovid“. As the High Authority for Health reminds us, this antiviral treatment is indicated for patients who do not require oxygen therapy and who have a high risk of progressing to a severe form of Covid-19. Indeed, some patients are more at risk: those with obesity, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, type 1 or 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart failure or chronic kidney disease, cancer, etc.

On the Télématin set, Brigitte Autran recalled the need to allow people who are late on the schedule to have their first or second booster dose: “There is a booster vaccination which is recommended and which is insufficiently practiced, insufficiently accessible. (…) Since the beginning of the year, almost eight million people have made the second reminder”.

If the fall was at a lull, cases are on the rise with more than 48,330 positive cases for the single day of last Saturday reported Public Health France (SPF). Currently, the rebound is manifested by an “upward recovery in new hospitalizations and critical care admissions”, after four weeks of decline.
