6 essential oils to treat gastro quickly

Nausea, stomach aches, diarrhea… gastroenteritis is making a comeback. Here are 6 essential oils to calm the symptoms very quickly.

Basil and Laurel essential oils: to calm intestinal spasms

L’Basil essential oil is an oil antispasmodic power of the digestive tract. It will therefore be very effective when gastro is accompanied by significant abdominal pain. Its calming and relaxing virtues accentuate the antispasmodic effects.

This oil also has anti-infectious properties, which reinforces its use in case of gastroenteritis often due to a germ.

L’bay laurel essential oil is also an antispasmodic, anti-infectious and anti-inflammatory oil. It is therefore ideal for problems of digestive disorders such as gastroenteritis, but also problems of flatulence or colitis.

In practice

I mix 50 drops of Basil essential oil and 30 drops of Laurel essential oil in a 30 ml bottle of Macadamia vegetable oil.

I massage my abdomen 2 to 3 times a day for 3 or 4 days maximum. The massage must be done in the direction of transit, that is to say in the direction of clockwise.

I can also choose the oral route: in this case, I prefer Basil essential oil (we rarely use Laurel orally) at the rate of 1 drop 2 to 3 times a day diluted in a little oil vegetable food or on a sugar.

Precaution for use: these essential oils can only be used in adults.

Tea tree and mountain savory essential oils: anti-infectious

Since gastroenteritis is often caused by a germ (virus, bacteria, etc.), it is advisable to usetea tree essential oil which is a major anti-infective oil: with its broad spectrum antibacterialit fights against a maximum of bacteria, it is also antiviral, antifungal, antiparasitic and immunostimulant.

It is therefore the ideal oil for Discard quickly from germ responsible for gastro.

L’Mountain savory essential oil is also a broad-spectrum antibacterial that works great on intestinal issues. It is therefore ideal for gastrointestinal problems. However, its slight hepatic toxicity obliges it to be associated absolutely with Lemon essential oil (which is a hepatic drainer).

In practice

I take 1 drop of Tea tree essential oil + 1 drop of Mountain Savory essential oil + 1 drop of lemon essential oil once or twice a day diluted in a little vegetable oil or on a sugar.

Precautions for use: These essential oils can only be used orally in adults.

It is absolutely essential to combine Mountain Savory essential oil with Lemon essential oil.

Lemon and Peppermint essential oils: anti-nausea

These 2 oils make it possible to fight effectively against nauseaoften present in cases of gastroenteritis.

They are also both anti-infectious, and the essential oil of Mint is, in addition, antispasmodic.

In practice

I take 1 drop of Lemon essential oil + 1 drop of Peppermint essential oil, 2 to 3 times a day, diluted in a little edible vegetable oil or on a sugar.

Precaution for use

These essential oils cannot be used in children under 12 years old.
